The UF Digital Worlds Institute collaborated with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) on the first International Symposium on Culture Technology. The theme of the summit was Networked Entertainment, and it drew leading experts and practitioners from around the world to the KAIST campus in SEOUL. Invited researchers and attendees looked into the increasingly pervasive interaction between technology and international culture in areas including entertainment, performance, and social life. Digital Worlds Director and Professor of Digital Media James Oliverio was invited to offer an overview of DW’s work in a presentation on the Development of Global Digital Culture through Advanced Media Systems.
