The new University of Florida promotional spot that was currently airing
on national television during the football games was produced entirely
by the Digital Worlds Institute.
Responding to a request from Dr. Gail Baker, UF Vice President for
Public Relations, the Digital Worlds creative team chose special
excerpts from the feature movie "DREAM
MACHINE" to give a compelling visual overview of UF's dynamic
150 year history. The television spot, which included original 3D
computer animation, historic photographs and documentary footage,
was composited by Digital Media Producer Joella Wilson to an original soundtrack by James Oliverio.
As part of the University of Florida's 150th Celebration, Digital Worlds
worked closely with members of the first graduating class of Digital
Arts and Sciences (DAS) students to produce "DREAM
MACHINE", which is now running in the new Research,
Education and Visualization Environment (REVE) in the newly renovated
Norman Gym building. To see "DREAM
MACHINE" on the immersive 52-foot wide screen at the REVE,
