Dance and Visual Art Collaboration, U. de Chile - REUNA -
and Digital Worlds

May 17, 2004

On May 17, 2004 the University of Florida's Digital Worlds Institute collaborated with the Universitaria Nacional (REUNA) in Santiago de Chile and the New World School of the Arts (NWSA) in Miami for a three-minute intercontinental collaborative dance performance. This experience involved four dancers, one couple in Chile (dancing live in an auditorium during the opening ceremony of the fourth International Meeting "Science, Culture and Education on the Research and Development Network") and the other couple in the USA, performing a collaborative choreography, using chroma key technology and MPEG2 over IP running in real time over the Internet2 network.
